HBO has opted out of a project that had a high-profile cast in place and received a lot of buzz in the industry, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "Tilda," a comedy pilot said to be based on Deadline.com’s Nikki Finke, has been passed over by the pay cable channel, the story reports.

The comedy was to star Diane Keaton as a ruthless Hollywood blogger and also featured Ellen Page and Jason Patric. The pilot was written by Bill Condon and "Tell Me You Love Me" creator Cynthia Mort, who left the project after conflict on the set, the article notes.

"Despite everyone’s best efforts ultimately this was not the right show for us at this time," HBO said in a statement.
