History announced Thursday that it is greenlighting a second season of a critically acclaimed series that has attracted the channel’s youngest audience ever.

The show is “Top Gear,” a U.S. adaptation of the award-winning and wildly popular BBC automotive show. The U.S. version is a co-production of History and BBC Worldwide.

The second season will start shooting this spring, the network said. The U.S. show is hosted by Adam Ferrara, Tanner Foust and Rutledge Wood.

Almost 60 million viewers tuned in for the first season of “Top Gear” on History, the channel reported.
