The Academy Awards people got some good news as they scramble to overcome sagging ratings and harsh reviews for the latest Oscars telecast, the AP reported. The news comes from one of the most universally acclaimed Oscar hosts of years past, Billy Crystal.

The comedian said he would seriously consider returning to host the show, although he would like to see some changes in the production.

Crystal said he’s beeing thinking "it might be fun" to take on the emcee duties once again. It would be his ninth time as host.

However, he would like to see fewer awards and some new ideas. He told the AP, "It has to sort of freshen itself up, and if I can be a part of that, that would be great."
