Another Top NBC Exec Exits as Shakeout Continues

Another NBC executive is packing his bags as part of the shakeout under new boss Bob Greenblatt, Deadline.com reports.

The network’s longtime scheduling chief, Mitch Metcalf, is the latest casualty. His departure follows that of Angela Bromstad in February.

Lisa Vebber, who has been second-in-command under Metcalf, will take over the job on an interim basis, the story reports, adding that "Metcalf has been at NBC since 1999, serving as EVP of programming planning and scheduling since 2005."

The timing means Vebber is likely to be in charge through the network upfronts. This is considered the most important time of the year for scheduling, with broadcast networks set to roll out their fall lineups for advertisers during May.
