Elisabeth Hasselbeck of the daytime talk show “The View” has been named by CMT as the host of its new series “Angels Among Us,” which premieres Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

The premiere episode of the show will be a special commemoration of the 10-year anniversary of 9/11.

The network said in an announcement: “The four-episode series features everyday men and women who believe they were delivered from tragedy through angelic encounters. The true-life stories will be told through interviews with the survivors, eyewitness accounts and re-enactments. Ranging from catastrophic car crashes to tornadoes, debilitating illnesses and the biggest terrorist attack in U.S. history, the show focuses on the tales of triumph told in the survivors’ own words.”
