Rose, King and other new hires will join current “Early Show” co-hosts Erica Hill and Jeff Glor on a new set in New York, the piece adds. CBS declined to comment on the changes.

… because when you think about hard news, you think of Rose and King. As a friend of mine points out, when this fails, we can expect CBS to say it’s because nobody wants hard news in the morning, rather than that they made such a tentative move.
