CNN Anchor to Leave Network

Dec 7, 2011  •  Post A Comment

Continuing what has been a year of churn among on-air personalities at a number of cable news channels, another CNN anchor is leaving the network.

Weekend anchor T.J. Holmes will leave CNN at the end of the year, TVNewser reports. It is unclear where he will go, but CNN director of programming Janelle Rodriguez wrote in a memo that Holmes is departing "to pursue other opportunities," the story notes.

Holmes started as a producer for KSNF-TV in Joplin, Mo., and worked at other stations before joining CNN in 2006, the piece says.

An insider at CNN says Holmes does have another job lined up, the report adds.
