With HBO Deal, Time Warner Cable Customers Can Watch Pay Channel's Shows on Mobile Devices; Now Only One Major Cable Company Remains Unsigned LA Times
Time Warner Cable has struck a deal with HBO to allow its subscribers to watch the pay-cable channel's shows on mobile devices such as iPads and on computers, reports the Los Angeles Times' Company Town blog.
The deal comes after months of negotiations between HBO and the cable company, which has 12 million customers, the piece adds. HBO Go doesn't stream HBO, but offers new and old programs the same time they are on TV, the story adds.
Cablevision is now the only major cable company that hasn't signed a deal for HBO Go, the piece adds.
