One week after CBS announced orders for two drama pilots, as reported last week, the network has picked up three more drama projects, TVLine.com reports.

CBS ordered a pilot based on the "Mommy Track Mysteries" book series by Ayelet Waldman, to be directed by filmmaker Christopher Columbus, the story reports. "Applebaum" and tracks a former public defender who becomes a stay-at-home mom and then turns to private investigating.

The network is also going ahead with "Quean," from former "L Word" showrunner Ilene Chaiken and "Matrix" executive producer Joel Silver. The drama focuses on a punk-rock girl who uses hacking skills to help a detective solve crimes, the story says.

The third project is an untitled 1960s-based drama about a sheriff who was a former rodeo cowboy, the story notes. The project will be executive produced and written by Nicholas Pileggi and Greg Walker.

The latest pickups follow pilot orders last week for the Sherlock Holmes project “Elementary” and the legal drama “Baby Big Shot,” as reported previously.
