Bravo Media has named a vice president of scripted development and production, reports B&C. The newly created position will be filled by Andrew Wang, part of a move by the network into scripted production.

Eli Lehrer, vice president of development and original programming for Bravo, said in a statement: "With the network’s first scripted series expected to air in 2013, Bravo’s goal is to expand our diverse slate and bring our brand and everything it represents into the world of scripted programming. Andrew has helped develop some of the most entertaining pop culture hits and we look forward to him bringing his creativity and experience to the network as we break new ground and move into scripted content."

Wang will be in the Los Angeles offices of Bravo. He comes from Alloy Entertainment, where he was in a similar position. As vice president of TV development and production for Alloy, Wang helped develop CW shows including "Gossip Girl," "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Secret Circle."
