CBS has been sued by a male executive who claims he was passed over because he isn’t a woman, reports Deadline.com.

Daysun Perkins, who filed the civil suit Tuesday in Los Angeles County Superior Court against CBS Corp. and CBS Television Distribution, alleges that executive Aaron Meyerson told him he couldn’t be considered for VP of development because of his gender, according to the story.

The lawsuit alleges that Meyerson, president of programming and development at CBS TV Distribution, told Perkins, "I gotta go girl,” and, "This job is not worth getting a sex change over," the article says.

Perkins, who is currently GSN’s executive director, original programming and development, claims he was also told he was qualified for the job, the story says.

A CBS spokesperson wouldn’t comment on specifics but said, “The claim as we understand it is without merit and will be vigorously defended," according to the piece.
