A veteran comedy actress has been cast as the first lady in NBC’s sitcom pilot "1600 Penn," reports TVLine.com.
“Dharma & Greg’s” Jenna Elfman joins the comedy about a dysfunctional presidential family, with Bill Pullman cast as the president, the story says.
"Modern Family" director Jason Winer will direct the pilot and also executive produce, along with former Barack Obama speechwriter Jon Lovett, according to the article.
The first couple’s children will be played by Brittany Snow, Josh Gad and Amara Miller.
Brittany Snow as Jenna Elfman’s daughter? Ouch, there is only fifteen years difference between the two.
