The late singer Whitney Houston will be honored by Fox’s "Glee" with an episode devoted to the star, reports E! Online. A source told the website that the episode will be more than just a collection of Houston songs covered by the kids at McKinley High, saying it will "not be a typical tribute."

The "Glee" source added, "It’s using Whitney’s music as a way to say goodbye — a way to respectfully say thank you for her music."

Lea Michele, who plays Rachel Berry on the show, appeared to allude to the special show in a tweet, saying, "Starting a new episode today. A very special tribute to one of the world’s most amazing singers. Very excited about this one."

"Glee" has been on a winter break and will return with new shows starting April 10. The date of the Whitney Houston episode has not been announced.
