One of the stars of the hit MTV reality show "Jersey Shore" has reportedly entered a rehab program. TMZ.com reports that Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has gone into an inpatient treatment program for substance abuse.

A representative for the reality TV star wouldn’t confirm that he is in rehab, but noted that Sorrentino "has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule," according to the story.

Sorrentino makes appearances at nightclubs for fees ranging from $15,000 to $50,000, and he has been appearing at many since the show debuted several years ago, the story notes.
