An actor known for his work in Quentin Tarantino’s "Kill Bill" films and “Reservoir Dogs,” who also appeared in "Thelma & Louise," “Free Willy” and many other films, was arrested on a charge of cruelty to a child, reports Reuters.com.

Michael Madsen was arrested Friday afternoon at his Malibu home after reportedly getting into a fight with his teenage son. County deputies investigated and the Sheriff’s Department reportedly determined that Madsen was under the influence of alcohol.

The 54-year-old actor was arrested without incident. Bail was set at $100,000.

TMZ.com reported that officers found signs of injury on Madsen’s son, adding that he did not require medical attention. TMZ cited sources saying Madsen was booked on a felony charge of child endangerment with cruelty to a child.

According to TMZ, Madsen’s attorney, Perry Wander, said Madsen “found his son smoking pot and they got in an argument when he tried to take it away. It’s a family matter and Michael asks that his family’s privacy be respected."
