MTV has picked up four new series and one special, with the latter tracking the career of an up-and-coming 22-year-old musician who gets pregnant, the cable network said in a statement.

"Dev," the special, follows the title character as she deals with a record label that pushes back her debut album three times after she becomes pregnant. With her album due to debut March 27, the project will track her efforts to get in shape for a summer tour after a high-risk pregnancy, according to MTV.

The new series include "The Heights," a one-hour docudrama about friends living in New York’s Washington Heights; and "Epic Fail," a half-hour panel show that examines people’s embarrassing moments. Both are expected to air in prime time, as is "Dev," MTV said.

"Totally Clueless," a hidden-camera game show, is slated to join the network’s weekday programming. Contestants win cash if they figure out they are on television, while improv actors put them through uncomfortable situations.

"MTV’s This Is How I Made It" will join the network’s Saturday morning lineup. The series is aimed at providing lessons in how to succeed from current stars, with each episode featuring two celebrities.
