A high-profile comedy project in the works at HBO has suffered a setback after the pay cable network and an Oscar-winning actress agreed to end their collaboration, Deadline.com reports.

Goldie Hawn, an Oscar winner for the 1969 movie “Cactus Flower,” is off the comedy pilot “The Viagra Diaries,” the story reports. The project was expected to be a return to acting for Hawn.

HBO declined to comment on Hawn’s departure, the story notes, adding: “There have been rumors about Hawn being difficult in her dealings with the rest of the people involved in the project and in the casting process. ‘Bridesmaids’’ Wendi McLendon-Covey is the only actor besides Hawn cast in the pilot so far; the husband role is yet to be filled after a number of actors read with Hawn for it.”

The project, which was created by Darren Star (“Sex and the City”) and is being directed by “Bridesmaids” director Paul Feig, is going forward, with HBO searching for an actress to take over the lead role, the story notes.
