With Creative Decision Up in the Air, NBC Comedy Tapes Two Finales

With a creative decision not yet having been made about how the current season of an NBC sitcom will end, the show, "Parks and Recreation," shot two versions of the season finale, reports Deadline.com.

The reason for the two endings is partly "in case we changed our minds,” said co-creator/executive producer Michael Schur, speaking at a PaleyFest panel.

In one ending, Leslie Knope, played by Amy Poehler, wins the election, while in the other ending, she loses, the story notes. The season won’t end in a cliffhanger, but Schur declined to say which ending will air on television, the piece adds.

Knope’s election campaign for city council has been a major focus of the show’s current season.
