Bill O'Reilly Goes After 'Glee' NY Daily News

Fox News host Bill O'Reilly vented on his show "The O'Reilly Factor" last week about the most recent episode of Fox's "Glee," the New York Daily News reports.

O'Reilly took offense at a plot point about a young man, played by Alex Newell, who expressed the feelings of a transgender youth and later performed on stage as a woman.

O'Reilly said showing this character espousing transgender ideas and appearing in women's clothes would give viewers similar thoughts. Said O'Reilly, “If you make the behavior of these people ... if children hear it, unsupervised children, OK, who don't have parents watching their -- they might go out and experiment with this stuff.”

Judge Jeanine Pirro, a guest on O’Reilly’s show, responded skeptically, saying, "Do you really think that this is the kind of thing that's contagious?"

O'Reilly answered, "I don't know," but cited the example of his being influenced to smoke at a young age because he had seen James Dean light up cigarettes on screen.
