Current TV Countersues in Dispute With Keith Olbermann EW

Current TV filed a countersuit against Keith Olbermann, decrying the fired anchor's $70 million lawsuit as allegedly "riddled with falsehoods and distortions," reports EW.com's Inside TV blog.

“Current seeks a determination that it is no longer obligated to pay Mr. Olbermann who, having already been paid handsomely for showing up sporadically and utterly failing to keep his end of the bargain, now seeks to be paid tens of millions more for not working at all,” according to the complaint.

Current also accuses Olbermann in the complaint of breaking confidentiality by disclosing terms of his contract with the media, failing to promote the network on other Current shows and taking unauthorized days off, the story notes.
