Is Simon Cowell’s Biography a Bit Too Intimate?

Some might say the new unauthorized biography of "American Idol" producer and judge Simon Cowell is a bit too intimate, reports the Associated Press.

"Sweet Revenge: The Intimate Life of Simon Cowell" is written by British journalist and biographer Tom Bower, who said he was drawn in by how a middle-aged music producer turned an old-fashioned talent contest into a fortune, the story says.

The book details how Cowell struggled for years in the music industry, but also includes personal details of his life, the story says.

For instance, Cowell receives regular colonic irrigations because "it’s so cleansing — and it makes my eyes shine brighter," according to the story. While the book is unauthorized, Cowell participated in the project and spent hours with Bower, the piece notes.
