Syfy Rolls Out Record Development Slate of 28 Projects Deadline
A drama based on a book series from the author of the "True Blood" series is just one of 28 scripted and unscripted shows in the works at Syfy as part of its most ambitious development slate ever, reports Deadline.com.
"Grave Sight" is based on books by Charlaine Harris about a young woman able to sense the location and last memories of dead people, the story notes.
Other drama projects include "The Adjustment Bureau," based on the movie starring Matt Damon, about angel-like agents who try to keep the world on track, and "Seeing Things," based on the comic “Grey Legion,” the story says.
One of three long-form scripted shows on the slate is "Eyes of the Dragon," based on Stephen King's best-selling novel about a prince batting an evil wizard, the story says.
Among the 17 reality projects in development are "Buyer Beware," about people trying to sell haunted houses, and an untitled Mark Burnett project about fans of sci-fi and fantasy who try to create food dishes based on the imaginary worlds they're fans of, the story notes.
