TBS's 'Conan' Continues to Post Audience Growth TVWeek

TBS announced that its late-night talk show “Conan” posted double-digit gains in key demographics during the first quarter, continuing six consecutive months of growth.

The Conan O’Brien-hosted show’s audience grew 25% in Q1 2012 from the year-ago period, according to final Live + 7 data, with a 19% gain in adults 18-49 and 12% growth in adults 18-34, the company said. Year-to-date the show has averaged 1.1 million total viewers, including 736,000 adults 18-49 and 433,000 adults 18-34.

The show posted six consecutive months of growth in adults 18-49, adding up to a 32% increase in the demo from the end of September 2011 to the end of March 2012, TBS reported.

The show boasts the lowest median age -- 35 -- of all late-night talk shows, TBS said, comparing with the following competitors: “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (median age 58), “Late Show with David Letterman” (56), “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” (52), “Jimmy Kimmel Live” (53), “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” (52) and “Chelsea Lately” (37).
