The Strange Saga of CW's 'L.A. Complex': Rerun Improves on Historically Bad Premiere EW

CW’s new drama import “The L.A. Complex” continued its weird sojourn through the Nielsen ratings Wednesday night, with a repeat airing of the premiere episode pulling in more viewers than the same episode did on its debut the previous night, EW.com reports.

As we reported earlier today, the soapy Canadian series made history Tuesday night as the lowest-rated broadcast drama premiere of all time. But preliminary numbers for Wednesday’s repeat airing indicate the audience may be bigger than first thought.

Wednesday’s rebroadcast on the CW pulled in 721,000 total viewers, according to Nielsen overnights. That number represents a bump up from Tuesday’s 646,000. Both broadcasts earned a 0.3 average rating in the key demo of adults 18-49.

Maybe the promo shot of the girls dancing, which received wide exposure after the show’s historically feeble debut, helped generate interest in the program.
