NBC Details Plans for London Olympics, With Bob Costas Topping a Lineup of 115 Commentators — and an Astounding 5,535 Hours of Coverage

NBC Sports Group has released details about its upcoming Olympics coverage, including its full lineup of on-air talent for the London Games, with a total of 115 commentators set to work the event.

The coverage will include an unprecedented 5,535 hours of programming across a wide range of platforms, including NBC, NBC Sports Network, MSNBC, CNBC, Bravo, Telemundo, NBCOlympics.com, two specialty channels and the first-ever 3D platform for Olympics coverage. The plan expands on the already ambitious coverage of the 2008 Beijing Games by about 2,000 hours.

Among the other highlights released today:

— Veteran announcer Bob Costas teturns for his 10th Olympics and his ninth as prime-time host.
— Al Michaels and Dan Patrick will host a daytime show.
— Mary Carillo returns to anchor a late-night show.
— Ryan Seacrest, John McEnroe and Bela Karolyi will be among the contributors.
— Shaun White and Jimmy Fallon will appear as guest commentators.
— The full NBC talent roster includes athletes who have won a total of 45 Olympic medals, including 25 gold medals.
