Andy Griffith's Cause of Death Revealed Reuters
Actor Andy Griffith, the beloved star of the television programs “Matlock” and "The Andy Griffith Show," died of a heart attack, reports Reuters, citing his death certificate.
The certificate said Griffith had dealt with hypertension, coronary artery disease and hyperlipidemia, a condition related to high cholesterol, for years, according to the story.
Griffith died Tuesday at 86 at his North Carolina home and was buried in a family cemetery, the article adds.
As previously reported, Griffith was buried less than five hours after he died, according to the wishes of his family.
