Hulu Chief Turns Down Yahoo Job

Yahoo!, which has been searching for a new chief executive, has been turned down by Hulu Chief Executive Jason Kilar, reports the New York Post.

Kilar took himself out of the race, with a Hulu spokeswoman saying, "He has graciously declined to be considered," according to the story.

Nevertheless, it’s possible the statement was "an attempt to deflect media attention rather than a real move by Kilar to take himself out of the running," the story points out.

KIlar’s contract at Hulu ended months ago, although the spokeswoman declined to comment on whether he’s working under contract for the online video site. His relationships with Hulu’s owners — Disney, Comcast and News Corp. — are reportedly "far from warm and fuzzy," according to the piece.
