MSNBC Defends Al Sharpton After Comment by Fox News Host TVNewser

MSNBC has taken issue with a comment made on Fox News about MSNBC host Al Sharpton, TVNewser.com reports. The comment occurred during Sean Hannity's Fox News interview with accused Trayvon Martin shooter George Zimmerman.

According to the story, Hannity asked Zimmerman, "What do you say to Al Sharpton, and those that rushed to judgment?” Sharpton hosts MSNBC's "PoliticsNation" show.

MSNBC issued a statement, saying it wanted to "set the record straight following some misinformation."

"Reverend Al Sharpton never 'rushed to judgment,' as stated by Mr. Hannity. Reverend Sharpton repeatedly called for calm and for a more thorough investigation in the wake of the tragic events. Ultimately, the authorities agreed an arrest was warranted," the statement said.
