Syfy has ordered a second season of a series that recently premiered its first season, The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed reports.

The cable channel picked up the competition series "Total Blackout" for season two, ordering 16 half-hour episodes, the story reports.

Hosted by Jaleel White, who played Urkel on "Family Matters," the show places contestants in dark rooms to compete in challenges that test their fears, the story says.

The show, from FremantleMedia North America, debuted in April to 1.33 million total viewers.
