Final Presidential Debate Drops 12%, Drawing 59.2 Million Viewers

The final debate between President Barack Obama and Republican hopeful Mitt Romney saw ratings drop by 12% from their first debate, with 59.2 million viewers tuning in, reports the Los Angeles Times.

The first debate, on Oct. 3, drew 67.2 million viewers, while the second debate attracted 65.6 million people, the story notes.

Monday’s debate had to battle competition from "Monday Night Football" on ESPN and the broadcast of Game 7 of Major League Baseball’s National League Championship Series. In the latter, the San Francisco Giants beat the St. Louis Cardinals to reach the World Series, the story adds.
