'GMA' Host Robin Roberts Updates Her Health Situation ABC News
"Good Morning America" host Robin Roberts wrote on a blog entry on ABCNews.com that her blood counts are "great" after her Sept. 20 bone-marrow transplant.
"My sister Sally-Ann’s stem cells apparently feel right at home in my body -- an answer to so many prayers," Roberts wrote. "My doctors and rock star nurses are very pleased with my progress and I could not be more thankful for the excellent care I am receiving."
Roberts is undergoing treatment for MDS, a bone marrow disorder that affects the production of blood cells, as previously reported.
Roberts added that she has had "some extremely painful days" and she continues to have difficulty eating because of the chemo.
