President Obama Is Asked to Stop Using NBC Footage in Ad Politico
President Barack Obama has been asked by NBC to stop using footage from the network in a new reelection ad, reports Politico.com.
NBC sent a letter on Friday to ask the campaign to stop using the footage, which shows Andrea Mitchell citing an independent analysis that shows Mitt Romney's tax plan would cost $4.8 trillion over a decade, the story says.
"NBC News has not granted any campaign permission to use our news material. As is our practice, we have requested that the Obama campaign refrain from using NBC News material in this and future advertisements,” NBC said in a statement.
The Obama campaign didn't respond to a request for comment, the piece adds.
