Romney Continues Using 'Friday Night Lights' Motto Washington Post

Despite a request from Peter Berg, the executive producer of the award-winning drama "Friday Night Lights," Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney continues to use the motto from the show "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose," reports The Washington Post.

Before entering last night's debate arena, Romney touched a sign that boasted the signature phrase, in direct defiance of Berg's letter to the candidate requesting that he cease using those words.

Berg wrote the following to Gov. Romney: "Your politics and campaign are clearly not aligned with the themes we portrayed in our series.” Berg went on to compare Romney to the show's character Buddy Garrity, a good old boy who was determined and tough and broke the rules to get his way.

Romney's campaign has seemingly ignored Berg's request. The slogan remains on the Romney campaign Facebook page.
