ABC's 'Once Upon a Time' Sinks to Historic Low TVbytheNumbers
On a Sunday night when NFL programming on Fox and NBC shuffled the broadcast ratings, a number of shows equaled or set low points, according to Nielsen overnight figures.
TVbytheNumbers.com reports that ABC’s “Once Upon a Time” recorded a 2.7 average rating in the key 18-49 demo in the 8 p.m. hour, down 23% from a week earlier and a series low. But the report notes that overrun of an NFL game on Fox impacted numbers for the hour and will result in significant adjustments.
Also on ABC, “Revenge” fell to a season-low 2.4 in the 18-49 demo, down 11% from a week earlier; “666 Park Avenue” matched the series low from last week with a 1.3; and “America’s Funniest Home Videos” fell 18% to a 1.4.
NBC had a 7.0 in 18-49 for its NFL game, helping the Peacock Network win prime time overall in viewers 18-49.
Fox’s start times were off all night due to football, rendering the hourly preliminary numbers meaningless, the report notes.
CBS had its own downtrend, with “60 Minutes” down 50% from a week ago to a 1.7 in the 18-49 demo, “The Good Wife” equaling last week’s series low with a 1.7 and “The Amazing Race” slipping 8% to a 2.4, while “The Mentalist” held steady with a 1.8.
For prime time overall, NBC led the way with a 5.5 average rating in 18-49, followed by Fox (4.2 average), ABC (2.0) and CBS (1.9). NBC also won total viewers, averaging 15.0 million to 10.3 million for Fox, 9.9 million for CBS and 6.6 million for ABC.
