The CW has canceled the series that reportedly had the lowest-rated premiere of the fall season, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed. The show is the freshman medical drama "Emily Owens, M.D.," which stars Meryl Streep’s daughter Mamie Gummer as a first-year intern, the report notes.

The series wraps production on its initial 13-episode order next week, and the network will air all 13 episodes.

The show had the lowest-rated premiere of the fall season, the piece notes, and while it was improving slightly with each original episode, it wasn’t enough. For the season, the series has averaged a 0.4 rating in the key 18-49 demo.
