Video: Fox News Abruptly Ends Interview With Pulitzer Prize Winner After He Rips the Channel On-Air Salon

During an interview with Fox News host Jon Scott, Pulitzer Prize-winning defense reporter Thomas Ricks declared the cable channel was “operating as a wing of the Republican Party,” prompting Scott to abruptly end the segment, reports

Ricks was on Fox News to discuss Sen. John McCain's opposition to Susan Rice's potential nomination as Secretary of State because of her comments about what happened in Benghazi. Ricks said, “Benghazi generally was hyped by this network especially. And now that the campaign is over, I think he’s [McCain] backing off a little bit. They’re not going to stop Susan Rice from being Secretary of State.”

Scott defended Fox News, saying Benghazi was not "hype." Ricks responded by saying, "The emphasis on Benghazi has been extremely political, partly because Fox was operating as a wing of the Republican Party.” At that point, Scott stopped the interview.
