An odd Twitter feud has broken out between a CNN anchor and a young comedic actor, with the anchor dishing on the whole affair on-air, the Los Angeles Times reports.

“The oddest Twitter fight pair in recent memory may be CNN anchor Don Lemon and Jonah Hill, star of ‘21 Jump Street,’" the story reports. “The fight began Thursday night when Lemon took to his Twitter feed and announced, ‘Said hi to @jonahhill in hotel. Think he thought i was bellman. Didn’t know his name til bellman told me. A lesson to always be kind.’"

Hill replied with his own tweet, which has since been deleted. The tweet said: "@DonLemonCNN I said hi what do you want me to do move in with you? I was in a hurry. Didn’t realize you were a 12 year old girl. Peace."

The Times reports: “Lemon, who is gay, wrote back, ‘Hardly. You’re not my type. But I know rude. And u were.’"

Hill’s response: "@DonLemonCNN i walked out of the restroom and found you waiting for me. Shook hands, said hi and was on my way. Sorry if you found that rude."

Lemon was asked about the incident on-air on CNN and did his best to explain the whole thing, noting, “Jonah Hill treated me like the help.”

  1. A CNN new anchor vs a TV star. Guess which one will win that contest with the public. Doesn’t matter what the true story is or who is actually right. It’s who has the bigger fan base. Don Lemon does not want to get into any kind of contest with a star that is liked by the younger generation. If he is smart, he will never mention the episode again and it will eventually go away.
