Academy Award-winning actress and superstar singer Cher has set up a period drama project, Deadline.com reports. Cher is readying the show for the cable network Logo TV, which focuses on the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, the piece reports.

Cher, who is an icon in the gay community, will work with veteran TV writer and producer Ron Zimmerman on the project, which is reportedly set in 1960s Hollywood. While not gay-themed, the project is said to be an "adult show for everyone."

Cher, currently attached as a writer with Zimmerman, may also co-star, the story says. Cher won an Oscar for “Moonstruck” in 1988, and her NBC special “Cher: The Farewell Tour” won an Emmy for outstanding variety, music or comedy special in 2003.
