Erroneous Date for Return of ‘Arrested Development’ — Posted by Fox and Then Suddenly Yanked — Leaves Plans for the Show Unclear

The return date for "Arrested Development" remains unclear after Fox posted a blurb and an episode lineup on its website that said the show’s revived version would debut on Netflix on May 4, but quickly yanked the item, reports the New York Post.

A representative for Netflix said the May 4 date was wrong, but it is not known when the show will be available to Netflix customers. The show originally aired on Fox from 2003-2006 and is returning for a fourth season with its original cast members — including Jason Bateman, Michael Cera, Jeffrey Tambor, Jessica Walter, Will Arnett and David Cross.

The report notes: “There’s also been talk of making an ‘Arrested Development’ movie for the big screen, which would begin production after the current season finishes its run on Netflix — and, like the series, would feature all of the show’s stars reprising their roles.”

The series won six Emmy Awards during its original run on Fox.
