Twentieth Television announced that it has received a renewal from the Fox Television Stations for its half-hour entertainment program “Dish Nation.”

The series will also return on Sinclair, Tribune, Cox, Meredith, Local TV and LIN stations, the company announced.

Making the announcement were Paul Franklin, EVP & General Manager of Broadcast Sales, Twentieth Television, and Frank Cicha, Senior Vice President, Programming, Fox Television Stations.

The company describes “Dish Nation” as “a daily program highlighting the nation’s funniest radio shows; riffing on what’s hot and happening that day in pop culture. A fresh, new format, ‘Dish Nation’ gives a comedic twist to the news that’s on everyone’s minds.”

In making the announcement, Franklin said: “We promised that ‘Dish Nation’ would be a hilarious and fresh alternative within the entertainment news genre. Based on the positive station response, social media buzz, and reinforced by continuous ratings growth — ‘Dish Nation’ has delivered.”

The company added in its announcement: “In the most recent ratings period, ‘Dish Nation’ now tops all new first-run programs, including ‘Steve Harvey’ and ‘Katie Couric,’ ranking #1 among Adults 18-34 and is tied for #1 among Adults 18-49. Additionally, ‘Dish Nation,’ which is the youngest-skewing first-run program in ALL of syndication, has grown to 1.3 million viewers in January — an +18% increase since its September premiere week.”
