It Worked for History Channel: NBC Orders 'Hatfields & McCoys' Project EW

A "Hatfields & McCoys" project has been ordered by NBC, following the huge success of History Channel's miniseries about the feuding families, reports EW.com's Inside TV.

The pilot project is set in present-day Pittsburgh, with a death reigniting the feud between the two clans, the story says. In this version, the McCoys are a blue-collar family while the Hatfields are wealthy.

Charlize Theron is attached as one of the executive producers on the project, which is written by John Glenn of "Eagle Eye."
