PBS Fixture Huell Howser Dies Huffington Post
Huell Howser, who hosted a series of successful public television series showcasing California, has died, The Huffington Post reports.
Howser, 67, died Sunday evening in his home of natural causes, the story reports. He hosted a string of shows including “California’s Gold,” a travel program based at Los Angeles station KCET-TV.
“A spokesperson from KCET confirmed to The Huffington Post that Huell died of natural causes, and that his death caught many at the studio by surprise,” the publication reports. “KCET nightly news show ‘SoCal Connected’ plans to honor Howser with a special segment during Monday's broadcast (on at 5:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.).
