Best-Selling Writer David Baldacci Teams with 'NCIS: Los Angeles' Executive Producer Shane Brennan for New TNT Series to Star Rebecca Romijn and Jon Tenney TV Line
Shane Brennan, the executive producer of the hit CBS drama "NCIS: Los Angeles," is expanding to TNT with a new, untitled detective series, reports TV Line.
Rebecca Romijn ("X-Men") and Jon Tenney ("The Closer") will star in the show, which is based on characters created by David Baldacci ("Absolute Power"). Brennan is writing the pilot for the series.
Tenney and Romijn play a pair of former secret service agents, Sean King and Michelle Maxwell, who are now private investigators. The series has received a 10-episode order from TNT and will debut in summer 2013.
Baldacci, who has written more than two dozen books, has written five novels featuring the King and Maxwell characters: "Split Second" (2003), "Hour Game" (2004), "SImple Genius" (2007), "First Family" (2009) and "The Sixth Man" (2011).
The only novel of Balducci's to yet hit the big or small screen is "Absolute Power" (1996), which was made into a feature film starring and directed by Clint Eastwood.
