'Smallville's' Clark Kent Lands Role in JFK Assassination Movie Deadline
Actor Tom Welling, best known for his 10-year run as Clark Kent on the television series "Smallville," is heading to the big screen in a film about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, reports Deadline.com.
Bill Paxton, Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are producing "Parkland," which tells the story of what happened in the hours after JFK was pronounced dead at Parkland Hospital in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963. Peter Landesman is directing the feature film.
Welling is the latest name to join a cast that includes Paul Giamatti, Zac Efron and Billy Bob Thornton.
