An actress best known for her role in the BBC series “Waterloo Road” was injured, along with a stuntman, while shooting the ABC drama series “Castle.” The actress, Karen David, and the stuntman, who has not been named, fell out of a moving van Thursday, Deadline.com reports.

The incident on the Paramount lot took place when a door on the van did not shut, according to talent manager William Blaylock.

Said Blaylock: “Karen was in the emergency room for hours being treated. She has been released but is in serious pain and has to wear a neck brace.” The stuntman suffered a head injury and remained hospitalized after David’s release, the story reports.

David, 33, is a Canadian-British actress, singer and songwriter. Besides playing Francesca “Cesca” Montoya on “Waterloo Road,” she has appeared on TV in “Pixelface” and “Touch” and in feature films including “Batman Begins.”

SAG-AFTRA was reportedly investigating the incident.
