Hot on the heels of its controversial unscripted show “Best Funeral Ever,” TLC is poised to once again venture into reality TV with “Plastic Wives,” TheWrap.com reports.

The program, set up as a special that could become a backdoor pilot for a series, is scheduled to premiere Jan. 27. The show focuses on the wives of Beverly Hills plastic surgeons.

The special is built around “a quartet of women who’ve wed plastic surgeons, and aren’t shy about using their husbands’ services in the pursuit of eternal youth. (Or at least the appearance of eternal youth.)” the story reports.

TLC says about the program: "These women are so obsessed with looks that they’ll stop at nothing to attain perfection from head to toe — and everywhere in between. From labiaplasty to chin liposuction to G-Spot injections, these extreme treatments have become routine for those living inside this industry."

The cast includes Alana Sands, former "Extra" co-host Dayna Devon, Frances Marques and Veronica Matlock, the piece reports. Matlock, the story notes, lovingly refers to her husband as "the vagina man."

The show comes from Lighthearted Entertainment, which was also responsible for "Sex Wars," "Love Shack" and "USA vs. the World."
