Director Known for ‘Men in Black’ Movies Joins CBS’s ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ Adaptation

The CBS television adaptation of "Beverly Hills Cop" has landed a well-known feature film director to helm the pilot, Deadline.com reports.

Barry Sonnenfeld, known for directing films such as the "Men in Black" series and "Get Shorty," will direct, the piece reports.

The project stars Brandon T. Jackson as the police officer son of Axel Foley, the character played by Eddie Murphy in the original "Beverly Hills Cop" movies. Kevin Pollak and David Denman co-star, and Murphy will guest star in the pilot.
