Fox is revisiting a reality show that sparked controversy and was heavily criticized during its original run in 2004, EW.com’s Inside TV reports. The show is “The Swan,” an infamous plastic surgery makeover program, which will return as a celebrity special, the story reports.

The original series featured "ugly" women who were given makeovers that included cosmetic surgery. The contestant who was voted the prettiest went on to compete in a pageant. The show wasn’t critically well received.

The logline says the new show "will feature female celebrities and will offer these popular women the incredible opportunity to undergo physical, psychological and career changes as cameras follow them through the transformative process. This opportunity will allow these women to come back better than ever, have a second chance at personal and career redemption and re-introduce themselves to their supportive fans in a whole new way.”

No air date has been announced.
