One of the stars of the "Harry Potter" film series will step up to a lead role in a new CBS comedy project, according to The Hollywood Reporter’s Live Feed.

Rupert Grint, who played Harry’s friend Ron in the movie franchise, will star in the title role of "Super Clyde," the story reports. The comedy, which has received a pilot order, is about a meek fast-food worker — and avid comic book reader — who decides to transform into a superhero after inheriting $100,000 per month from an eccentric uncle, the story says.

Greg Garcia of "Raising Hope" will write and executive produce the single-camera comedy, produced by CBS Television Studios. "Super Clyde" is one of two pilots from Garcia ordered by CBS, with an untitled family comedy also in the works.

If the project receives a series order it will mark Grint’s debut as a TV series regular.
