Tina Fey Leaves No Doubt How She Feels About the Prospect of Hosting the Oscars Huffington Post
On Sunday's Academy Awards, William Shatner bemoaned the fact that Tina Fey and Amy Poehler weren't hosting the show. But Fey, who with Poehler received favorable reviews for hosting the Golden Globes, said she's not interested in the job, reports The Huffington Post.
"No way," Fey told the publication. "I just feel like that gig is so hard. Especially for, like, a woman -- the amount of months that would be spent trying on dresses alone …"
Told that it was disappointing to hear "no way" and asked whether there might be a remote chance she would host, Fey said, "I wish I could tell you there was."
Fey did admit she was proud to have her name mentioned by Shatner at the Oscars ceremony, saying, “It’s an honor to be ‘Shatnered.’”
